The Catuai, Sarchimore, Obata, and Caturra varieties (all 100% Arabica) are harvested in the San Luis Potosi, Naranjo region of Costa Rica by 5th generation growers. A family of 31 employees contribute to a sustainable farm that has been Rainforest Alliance (RFA) Certified, which means the farmers have met rigorous environmental and social standards. The beans are wet processed which lends to a soaring lightness and lovely balance of sweet and dry tones.
Cupping notes: aromatic and well balanced with medium body
Aroma: citrus, honey, caramel, and chocolate

Colombia Caturra Café Femenino - Fair Trade Organic
The future is female, especially the participating women of the COSURCA cooperative, in the southern state of Cauca in Columbia. There are approximately 160 women in the Café Femenino program, farming an average of 3.5 acres each. Many of these women are single heads of household, but not all, many of have husbands with their own plots of coffee.
In the early days of Café Femenino, a two year plan was implemented to develop the integration of women into the membership of the cooperative and focus on leadership development. This group has received funding from donors through the Café Femenino Foundation to be able to upgrade their kitchens to healthier standards by installing stoves and chimneys that exhausts smoke outside. This has reduced the prevalence of respiratory disease associated with wood smoke within the family.
Cupping notes: good acidity, chocolate, dried fruit, medium body
Aroma: sweet, clean, fruity, cocoa

Located in the valley of San Vincente Pacaya and nestled among the mountains, the region’s rich volcanic soil and cool weather provide the perfect conditions to produce one of the world’s best coffees. The washed and sun dried Catuai and Bourbon beans provide an exquisite roundness and pleasant mouth-feel, which can satisfy even the most demanding palates.
Cupping notes: deep chocolate notes, caramel notes, sweet, citric, complex, bright acidity, full body
Aroma: very rich, citrusy notes
